And we\u2019re very happy to congratulate her for the Award of Merit<\/a> (second place) in the category \u201cseasonal article\u201d from the Associated Church Press<\/a>. It\u2019s for her article, \u201cVirgil & the Vigil: The Bees Are Back in the Exsultet<\/a>,\u201d published in Commonweal\u00a0 April 10, 2009. The judge wrote, \u201cReaders will more intelligently and more fully worship for reading the article. The research is good. The transitions are good. The tone is right.\u201d We agree! Very soon, we hope, we\u2019ll have the proper texts of the new English missal from Rome, including the newly translated Exsultet<\/em>. Reports are that the Exsultet<\/em> is a real gem. We’ll look forward to Rita’s comments on it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
