change, at the most dramatic moment in the<\/div>\n
whole liturgy, is horrifying, as though the dignity<\/div>\n
of the word \u201ccup\u201d were not upheld by the<\/div>\n
hands that held it and passed it round, and<\/div>\n
to \u201cimprove\u201d on this is to make of another good<\/div>\n
word a genteelism which betrays the mentality<\/div>\n
of the translator \u2013 and three times! It confirms<\/div>\n
all that we now know, thanks to The Tablet\u2019s<\/div>\n
preparatory articles, about the process whereby<\/div>\n
this translation was arrived at.<\/div>\n

Today’s online Tablet<\/em> has letters to the editor<\/a> (click under “Current Issue”) and “Letters Extra<\/a>” on the new missal – all of them negative. They haven’t “gotten used to it” in New Zealand, for example. And this from Fr. Sebastian Moore, OSB:<\/p>\n
