{"id":10061,"date":"2011-06-14T23:06:53","date_gmt":"2011-06-15T04:06:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/?p=10061"},"modified":"2011-06-14T23:15:05","modified_gmt":"2011-06-15T04:15:05","slug":"hermeneutic-of-continuity-constantinian-edition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/praytellblog.com\/index.php\/2011\/06\/14\/hermeneutic-of-continuity-constantinian-edition\/","title":{"rendered":"Hermeneutic of Continuity &#8211; Constantinian Edition"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I ran across <a href=\"http:\/\/www.crisismagazine.com\/2011\/five-myths-about-worship-in-the-early-church\" target=\"_blank\">this article<\/a> through a friend&#8217;s link.<\/p>\n<p>The author makes some strong assertions about 5 so-called myths about early liturgical practices.<\/p>\n<p>His statement at the beginning gives the impression that those who do not support the new translation want &#8220;banal&#8221; language &#8220;that even the muppets on Sesame Street can understand.&#8221; I am not sure this snarky introduction captures the reality of the situation.
