What sort of corrections to the Received text? It has been heavily critiqued, mocked, and ridiculed online in recent months. We all have been curious how the CDW would respond when it sent the final version to national conferences.

The latest ‘final version’
Several sources confirm today that the Holy See is making changes to the 2010 Received Text of the new English missal. Seems they’re responding to the outcry about grammatical errors, mistranslations, poor English usage, and the like.

The introduction of the new texts will require hard work for many of us. It will not help if we have to champion a text which is very different from what we were expecting, of such questionable quality, and which seems to have sidelined the bishops’ conference.
