Asย Vatican Newsย reports, today Pope Francis appointedย Bishop Daniel E. Garcia, auxiliary bishop of Austin, TX, as Bishop of the Diocese of Monterey, CA. Pope Francis had appointed him auxiliary bishop in 2015. Bishop Garcia completed his MA in Liturgical Studies in 2007 from Saint John’s School of Theology and Seminary.
