Saint John’s Bible at Installation of Archbishop of Canterbury

By Staff, March 25, 2026

The Saint John’s Bible will accompany the installation of the 106th Archbishop of Canterbury, Sarah Elisabeth Mullally, on this day of the Annunciation of Our Lord to the Blessed Virgin Mary, March 25, 2026.

The Cathedral was gifted with The Saint John’s Bible Heritage Edition in 2023. As the worship aid for the installation describes, “Because of its resonance with the Cathedralโ€™s Benedictine past, and the powerful messages of its imagery which speak to the modern age, The Saint Johnโ€™s Bible has been chosen for the Archbishopโ€™s Corporal Oath in the Nave.”

The worship aid also incorporates an image from the Saint John’s Bible, the “Therefore, the Child to be Born will be Holy,” an image by artistic director and illuminator Donald Jackson.

To learn more about the work of the Saint John’s Bible, a “masterpiece of Biblical proportions,” visit the Saint John’s Bible homepage for ways to view the Bible, attend a travelling exhibit, or come visit us at the permanent display in Alcuin Library in Collegeville!

Or, of course, watch the Installation live!
