Pope Leo XIV, expressing deep concern over the wars in the Holy Land, Ukraine, and other conflict zones, has urged the faithful to dedicate this Friday, August 22—the Feast of Mary, Queen of Peace—as a day of fasting and prayer. Speaking to thousands of pilgrims at the Vatican on August 20, he asked believers to implore God for peace, justice, and comfort for those suffering from violence, invoking Mary’s intercession so that nations might find the path to reconciliation.
