Pope Francis, the first Latin American and Jesuit pontiff, has passed away on April 21, 2025, at the age of 88, following complications from chronic lung disease and double pneumonia.
The Catholic Church and countless others around the world who admired Pope Francis for his humility, courage, and compassion now enter a period of mourning and reflection. May his soul rest in peace.
