Valparaiso University to host hymn festival

Valparaiso University will host a hymn festival on Saturday, October 5th at 4 p.m. Central Time. A description of the event from the Valparaiso website follows here:

“Since 2024 marks the 500th anniversary of the publication of the first Lutheran hymnals, the university hopes to realize the dream to form a 500-voice choir for this hymn festival. High school students and adults who are willing to learn the music in advance and attend the October 5 rehearsals are welcome to sing with the 500-voice choir. You are invited to come and sing, and to share this opportunity with others who may be interested in participating.”

Further information about the hymn festival and a registration link can be found here.
