The Discourse Continues Regarding Clerical Celibacy

Michael Sean Winters, from the National Catholic Reporter, has written an opinion piece entitled “Proposal for married clergy raises interesting complications.” Winters discusses issues, among others, such as the pay increases for potentially married clergy and the fact that nepotism–one of the reasons behind the adoption of clerical celibacy in the Middles Ages–is no longer a real concern in the Church.
