June 27 2021 : 13th Sunday in Ordinary Time

As with last Sunday, since none of the antiphons suggested in the Missal or Graduale relates to the Year B Gospel reading of the healing of the woman with the haemorrhage and cure of the little girl, the Collegeville Composers Group produced a new antiphon derived from two verses of today’s Gospel:
Jesus said to the synagogue official, “Do not be afraid; just have faith.” (Mark 5:36)
and
“Daughter, your faith has saved you. Go in peace and be cured of your affliction.” (Mark 5:34)
As we process to receive Communion, we too can be saved by our faith in the Lord. All we have to do is believe in him.
Psalm verses are superimposed over the hummed antiphon and are selected from Psalms 131 and 103, on the theme of trusting in God.
