Neither of the Missal antiphons connect with the Gospel of the mustard tree today. The Collegeville Composers Group were, however, drawn to the second Missal antiphon, which runs:

Holy Father, keep in your name those you have given me,
that they may be one as we are one, says the Lord. (John 17:11)

The act of Communion is not something individual, but an expression of our unity in the Body of Christ. The setting of the antiphon emphasizes this by the use of a simple two-part round.

For the verses, a psalm tone is superimposed on the antiphon (but can of course be sung separately), taking verses from Jeremiah 31:10-14 as suggested in the 1998 Antiphonal.
