Very good – didn’t want to throw a bone to mark the Feast of St. Vincent? I know, Sunday triumphs for your temple musicians.

Rory presents a classic exegesis with its decisive choice for us. Matthew sought to explain why so many at the time rejected Jesus and his Good News. I see the passage as a springboard, in the face of a worldwide crisis from which no one can stand aloof. Both children have to be engaged, and that would be my main theme.
