Today JP reflects on the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the U.S. bishops’ consecration of the United States, viewing it as a timely invitation for the weary to find true rest. By surrendering burdens with childlike trust, individuals can allow Jesus to burn away what no longer serves them. This act of surrender ultimately creates space for a renewed sense of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, in awe and wonder at God’s creation.
