GOSPEL COMMUNION: 5th Sunday of Easter

May 15, 2022 : 5th Sunday of Easter

Taking its lead from today’s Gospel Acclamation and Gospel reading, this setting re-uses the antiphon provided for the Washing of the Feet on Holy Thursday, but with a different set of superimposed verses: this time, extracts from today’s 2nd Reading from Revelation, from John 13 and 1 Cor 13. What better time than Communion, the paramount expression of our unity in the Body of Christ, to remind ourselves that this love for each other is how all will know that we are disciples of Jesus!

A demo recording extract will be found here.
