As part of their upcoming relaunch of the School of Pastoral Ministry, the Archdiocese of San Francisco is offering “Lift Up Your Eyes” – a six-part, online course on sacred art and the liturgy, taught by Dr. Elizabeth Lev. The course will study sacred art in the context of the liturgy and how art can elevate the mind and spirit during the Mass. Dr. Lev, who gave a popular TED talk titled “The Unheard Story Behind the Sistine Chapel,” is an American-born art historian, writer, and educator who lives and works in Rome.
