Quite often Pray Tell receives words of appreciation from the general public. Sometimes, as is the case with the following note, the sender wishes to remain anonymous. Our reply is: “You’re welcome!”
I want to thank you for having this blog. It is quite helpful to see a place for (mostly) reasoned and respectful dialog. I’ve been an ecclesial lay minister for over 20 years. I aim to help adults understand and live their faith more deeply, including in the RCIA.
More and more these days, I wonder WHY people would want to become Catholic. I have no thought of leaving my Church, but am saddened, angered, and frustrated by how the leaders of it are retreating from me. In particular, the new missal translation presents a tremendous challenge. I have resolved not to touch it – to leave it to my pastor to ‘explain’… yet I know I’ll have to cover it at some point.
At any rate, Pray Tell helps me to have resources and to access a variety of perspectives. I thank you for providing that.
